The fact that my list of credits includes winning an Audie Award from the Audio Publishers Association and landing on Jimmy Fallon’s Do Not Read List for the same project is indicative of my work. Less than a year after Jitters-A Quirky Little Audio Book won a 2011 Audie in the multi-voiced category, Late Night funnyman Jimmy Fallon honored my production with a coveted spot on his Do Not Read List. Perhaps life imitates art as these types of random events are a common occurrence throughout the Quirky Audio Book series.
I grew up in Boulder, Colorado. After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mesa College, I spent the next twenty years working as a television and radio reporter, news anchor, and on-air personality. During my career in broadcasting, I also did freelance writing and photography for several magazines.
In 2008, I formed Straight to Audio Productions, LLC and opened a recording studio in St. George, Utah. When I’m not working, I’m out in the desert on my ATV thinking about all the quirky things that happen in a place called Navel, Utah.
